Esmé Smith is a veteran colorist and finishing artist and the founder of Aesthetica Post, a boutique post-production studio with bases in Portland, OR, and New York City. Since 2007, she has worked across documentaries, independent features, and commercial projects, with credits including Chasing Chasing Amy, Strong Island, 306 Hollywood, and The Jinx.

A graduate of the University of Kansas, Esmé began her career at CBS News before spending nearly a decade at Technicolor-PostWorks, expanding her expertise in editorial finishing, color grading, and visual effects. She is recognized for her collaborative approach, creative problem-solving, and ability to translate a director’s vision into visually resonant final work. Under her leadership, Aesthetica has delivered to festival premieres worldwide, with a commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices.
