Conform & Online
Editorial finishing is the critical final step in shaping a documentary’s visual and narrative integrity. Once the offline edit is locked, the process begins with conform, where the high-resolution footage is reassembled to match the creative edit precisely.
This step ensures accuracy, proper framing, and the seamless integration of archival materials, graphics, and effects.
Visual Effects & Restoration
Visual effects and Image Restoration refines a film’s final look through stabilization, noise reduction, object removal, and beauty work.
This process enhances & restores archival footage, balancing the aesthetic of each source, and corrects drop-outs/film damage while maintaining authenticity. These subtle yet essential adjustments elevate visual quality.
Color Grading
All the pieces come together when we move into this phase. Color correction and grading refine a film’s visual tone, ensuring consistency and emotional impact.
In documentaries, this process unifies mixed-media sources, and elevates the film’s aesthetic for a polished, immersive viewing experience.
